Going into each year, the F1 tunnel boats along with the other big boat tunnel classes bring a competitive spirit to Champions Park Lake. After consultation and discussion with drivers, race officials, and safety experts, each event is organized to deliver maximum excitement while maintaining the highest safety standards sanctioned by the American Power Boat Association (APBA).

The event typically spans a full weekend, with race team registration and technical inspection kicking off on Thursday, followed by two full days of racing action on Saturday and Sunday. Practice sessions, qualifying rounds, and championship races keep the energy high from start to finish.
